Front Introduction

Govt. Swami Atmanand Post Graduate College, Narayanpur (C. G.) was established on 14 Sept. 1988 as adiwasi vikas yojana by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh under department. of higher education. An Undergraduate Arts faculty co-education college starting with 10 students from Jan-pad building and under the name of Government College, Which is affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, The College got registered under section 2f and 12B of UGC Act in the year 1992. At the time of its inception the total number of regular students enrolled in the discipline of Arts only 157. Narayanpur College to provide higher education in this backward & rural area (Abuzmand Tribal Zone) of the Chhattisgarh state. From the academic year 2001-02 the Bachelor Degree Program in Commerce & year 2005-06 Science is also being run.

It was renamed on 2008-09 after the name of famous Swami Atmanand, at present affiliated to Bastar University (Dharampura) Jagdalpur, District Bastar (C.G.). In addition to it, The College holds in its profile four Postgraduate Courses namely M.A. (Geography), M.A. (Economics), M.A. (Sociology) and M.A. (Political Science) as well initially was being run temporarily. Under the jan bhagidari fund. It was shifted to its new large campus of nearly 25 acres, situated beside the natural beautiful of lush green area.

After a long – term demand in Higher Education (previously-Madhya Pradesh ), now in Chhattisgarh,Govt. College started on 2006, with a single faculty of 'ARTS'. Gradually it progressed and made its own identity in providing education in SCIENCE, COMMERCE & ARTS at 'Graduation level'.

Process of learning is a dynamic process it has everybody guessing as to where it will go next. This is the reason why we have set our sights high and provide quality series in this field. And therefore, it goes without saying that our faculty is well qualified and experienced to provide students with the quality educational personal attention the fee structure is also flexible and competitive to allow everyone an opportunity of availing a world class."Rastriya Seva Yojna" is a unit of college. 100 students get admitted for that. "Rastriya Seva yojna" office Conduct, directs, guide and control the "Rastriya Seva Yojna Shivir "Program."
